An Antique Jaques Staunton Ivory Chess Set, circa 1890

one side stained red, the other side left natural, both kings stamped JAQUES LONDON on the underside of the bases, in a late 19th century mahogany and brass inlaid hinged box, the interior with two compartments lined with dark blue plush

King: 7.4cm high

Pawn: 3.8cm high

Box: 19cm wide
