An Outstanding Palais Royale Ormolu and Opaline Glass Cologne Bottle

A gorgeous example of 19th Century Palais Royale work. This outstanding piece is of globe and shaft shape with a flared rim and a matching blown stopper, I n stunning turquoise opaline glass. The body and stopper are overlaid in superb ormolu metal work, featuring mermaid handles and scenic panels to the front and back. A fabulous piece for the collector, with a practical use. Condition :- Excellent, with no chips or cracks. There are a few nibbles and blemishes around the inside of the neck from stopper usage, commensurate with age and use.
