This elegant silver lidded preserve jar is dated Sheffield 1929 and was made by the prolific James Deakin & Sons. The baluster glass body with hobnail-cut decorations. The plain domed silver lid with solid ball finial. The base star cut. It comes with a very well matched silver preserve spoon made by Joseph & Richard Griffin and dated Chester 1910. The spoon with barley-twist handle and ball finial
