Antique Swedish Satin Birch Desk

1900 - 1920
Description

Antique Swedish satin birch pedestal desk which is finished off & polished just as nicely on the back. It’s Biedermeier style, a lovely blond colour & dates to around the 1920’s period. This desk is very fine quality, in excellent condition & has just been French polished all over. The top is cross banded & there are three drawers below, two cupboards on the front pedestals with sliding drawers & shelves inside. There are satin birch turned pillars on the back & front which settle on plinth bases. Please enlarge all the images to see the stunning wood patterns & for instance the fine dovetails on all the drawers. We also have working locks & keys for the cupboards & drawers.
