Description

Good example of the classic early 19th.c. North Wales cupboard dresser base c.1820. Solid oak plank top with an applied moulded edge over four working drawers (the bottom two middle drawers being dummy fronts to allow extra cupboard space inside) plus two cupboard doors. Delightful decorative front, inlaid between the drawers with the lozenge detail found on furniture from the market town of Talwrn on the Isle of Anglesey. The lovely fan shaped ebony and satinwood inlays to the doors and the diamond shaped bone escutcheons are also typical Anglesey vernacular details. Original brass knobs, panelled sides and bracket feet to the front. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops. Key supplied.
