Lovely Art Deco solid hallmarked silver hip flask.
Super engine turned decoration and typical angular Deco shape with a blank cartouche to the front.
Ideal size for a smart jacket pocket. Holds 6 fluid ounces.
The condition excellent. The hinge is strong and works well.
Made by Sanders and Mackenzie and carries the Birmingham hallmark with the
date letter for 1939.
It comes with a cork lined bayonet cap which fits snuggle with the flask body.
Height 4 7/8 inches 12.5 cm
Width 3 1/8 inches 8 cm
Depth 7/8 inch 2.2 cm.
The silver weight of the flask and cup combine is 170.4 grams.
Excellent condition and the flask is liquid tight with no leakage.
A single dink to the back but this hasn't caused a hold.
A lovely usable piece and makes a fabulous gift.
Will be sent in a free silk lines leatherette gift box.
