Masons Antiques has dated this piece to the 1880s.
The whole clock in totally original and wonderful condition.
The case retains it's original French polished finish with a rich, deep, age related patina.
The 8" dial is in perfect condition with black Roman numerals and inter-spaced Fleur-de-lis.
The brass weights and pendulum again in good order. Complete with original cranked winding key. (Always a sign a clock has been carefully looked after from new).
The 8 day movement strikes on the half-hour and the hour.
