A truly remarkable and rare late 19th century "Boulle" Gentleman's ten-piece DESK SET in wonderful condition.

All ten items are of the finest quality, with brass scrollwork inlaid into tortoiseshell and rosewood. The set comprises: *8-day CLOCK in full working order; *large FOLDER for letters etc; *a pretty mahogany-backed PHOTO-FRAME; *a second PHOTO-FRAME (or calendar); *pair of CANDLESTICKS; *charming MATCHBOX HOLDER; *circular PIN or ASHTRAY; *smaller FOLDER for letters; diary etc.... and the *large Boulle INKSTAND with 2 inkwells; pen tray and central hinged box (for stamps?).

Some measurements: the Desk Stand: 14 x 10ins; the photo-frame: 7 x 5ins. The dimensions below are based on the size of a box that all items would fit into, when well packed.
