Victorian Burr Walnut Canterbury Whatnot

An excellent quality Victorian walnut and burr-walnut Canterbury whatnot.
 
c1870.
 
Having a rectangular top, fitted with a metal gallery supported by wooden turned ball finials.
 
Supporting the top are four beautifully turned and carved columns.
 
Below are three divisions, which were originally for sheet music, but for modern day use, are excellent as a magazine or book tidy. Surrounding the divisions is open fretwork, carved with foliate and naturalistic designs.
 
To the base is a very useful drawer.
 
Lovely rich colour and figuring to the walnut.
 
Standing on bulbous turned legs with porcelain castors.
 
In excellent antique condition. Expected signs of age and use.
