Regency Mahogany Chest of Drawers

19th century
Description

A good mahogany chest of drawers dating from the early 19th Century set on bracket feet. They are excellent quality and well made with a mahogany top and front and stained pine sides. They have a lovely rich patina and attractive ebonised banding. The drawers run well and it a clean sturdy set with all the original turned knobs. They also come with their original key.

They are in good condition for their age. The drawers are generally clean and tidy with just a small split in the bottom drawer's lining. There are the usual small signs of wear, some minor marks on the top surface and a small chip on the bottom frieze and another on a back leg but nothing detrimental and they display beautifully. They have been cleaned and gently polshed and are ready for use.
