Large ornate Waltham pocket watch & chain. 1890s

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is a grade number 1. The movement is stamped American Waltham Watch Co and has a serial number 6790355 which dates it back to may 1894 to October 1898.

The watch itself measures 54.8mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold filled and is the Planet model made by the Crescent Watch Case Co. The beautiful hand chased case is in nice condition with a stag on the back.

The glass lens is in good condition.

The signed white enamel dial is in nice condition with only the odd minor mark.

The watch has its original blued steel hands.

The watch comes on a vintage gold plated chain which measures 31 cm including the T bar and clasp.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
