Description

A decorative pair of 19th century repoussé brass wall sconces in the 17th century manner, depicting two portrait heads of a man and a woman surrounded with foliage and the date Anno 1632.

The sconces have been electrified at some stage and have then been de-electrified to be used for candles again. These pieces were often highly polished as when the candles are lit, the polished brass acts as reflector plates, thus creating more light in a room.

The sconces are in excellent condition.
