Tall Empire Style Open Bookshelves C.1840.

Description

Very handsome French empire style marble top mahogany bookshelves c.1840. Very nearly five feet tall with an attractively figured grey marble top over an open bookcase fitted with three adjustable shelves (11" depth), plus a useful drawer in the top. Flanked with a pair of turned and tapering columns with Empire style brass mounts to the terminals. Further brass mounts to the drawer front and plinth. Some wear and repairs to the veneers. Otherwise excellent colour and condition. Cleaned and restored in our workshops.
