A Fabulous Late 16th Century Iron Bound Collection Chest.

Description

A fabulous late 16th century oak Iron bound collection chest, having a multitude of iron straps nailed to oak dovetailed boards and having a coin slot in the centre of the lid with the sides and back having carrying handles. The chest is unfortunately missing its original locks inside and the lid has some old restorations, this is probably due to the chest being prized open at some stage. The chest has superb colour and patination and overall is in excellent condition.
