Description

A beautiful quality gilt brass four glass French mantel clock with finely engraved decoration to the top, base and door sides.

The cast brass case retaining its original gilding with thick bevel edged glass to all sides with opening front and rear doors.

The two piece dial with gilded decorative bezel and centre with visible jewelled escapement, the white enamelled chapter ring with Roman numerals.

The fine quality fully restored spring driven 8 day movement striking the hours and half hour on a blued steel curled gong, with rise and fall mechanism, numbered on the back plate.

The unusual tiled and polished steel compensated gridiron pendulum.

Breguet style blued steel hands.

A very fine clock in excellent original condition with the movement fully restored and calibrated.
