1929 Swiss Silver Pocket Watch and Chain

1929 Swiss silver pocket watch and chain.

The watch has a good quality Swiss stem-winding movement with 15 jewels, 2 adjustments, which is working working well. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch itself measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the stem. The case is silver and there are silver import marks inside the two case backs for London 1929 with a case importers mark for George Stockwell. The outer case is in nice condition and the inner dust cover has a couple of mild bruises but overall it is in nice condition for a 1920s piece.

The watch glass is in good condition with only light marking from use.

The white enamel dial is in nice condition. Blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch comes with a single chain which measures 35cm long including the T-bar and the clasp. Each of the links has the lion silver mark and the T-bar is hallmarked for 1900.

The watch and chain will come in a new presentation box.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
