An Olive Wood Victorian Period Wellington Chest

19th century
Description

An olive wood Victorian Period wellington chest. Having a rectangular top in beautifully figured olive wood above an arrangement of seven mahogany lined drawers with the original aesthetic style brass handles and beautifully figured drawer fronts. The twin pilasters, with corinthian capitols, the right hand pilaster hinged and acts as the traditional "wellington" locking mechanism. With solid olive wood sides and standing on a rectangular plinth. English circa 1870-1880

Dimensions: 24" wide x 16" deep x 44" high

Condition: This wellington chest is in stunning condition, the handles cleaned and polished
