Victorian Silver Snuff Box 1896

Description

This unusual VICTORIAN SILVER SNUFF BOX was made by George Gillet in 1896.

Of oval form, this lovely Silver Snuff Box has a banded floral decoration to the body with a blank cartouche within a flower decoration to each side. The hinged lid is also decorated with a flower design with a central blank cartouche.

In excellent condition despite being over 120 years old, this superb Snuff Box is free from any added engravings or monograms and would make a superb addition to a collection or could be used as a small trinket box.

Used / Excellent

There is no damage and no repairs.

Dimensions:

Length – 2.0” (50mm) / Width – 1.5” (38mm) / Height – 1.375” (35mm)

Weight – 37gm / 1.18ozt
