Victorian Embossed Pill Box 1899

Description

This superb SOLID SILVER PILL BOX has an intricate repousse design and was made by the well-known and sought-after silversmiths of Adie & Lovekin in 1899.

With a blank cartouche which could be personalised with initials etc., this lovely box has a strong hinge, the lid closes tightly and the interior gilt coated is still vibrant despite being over 120 years old.

A beautiful piece which would make a lovely gift or add to a collection.

Condition:

Used / Excellent

There is no damage and no repairs.

Dimensions:

Diameter – 1.25” (32mm) / Height – 0.75” (19mm)

Weight – 9.6gm / 0.3ozt
