This well-detailed and heavy GEORGIAN CAST IRON DOOR STOP or DOOR PORTER, with its original painted finish, dates from circa 1830.

It is modelled as a LION beneath a tree branch from which hangs a SERPENT.

It is very stable and sturdy.
