In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
It has its original working key and the locks are stamped VR for Queen Victoria. It has 18 fitted drawers and one deeper drawer. The fitted drawers have circles cut into them to hold the different sized coins in place. Each drawer has two small brass knobs and a hand-numbered paper label.

It is in very good condition and has developed a lovely aged patina. There are signs of age and use and there are a few small chips around the outside and some signs of historic woodworm in the back panel but nothing detrimental. The drawers are clean and tidy and some coin slots are lined with velvet. The wooden bases of a couple of the coin rings are missing but could be easily replaced with wood or thick card. It displays very well and is certainly usable.
The best description I can give comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions please ask. UK Delivery £30
