Description

A good quality sterling silver cruet set in its original fitted case. The set consists of a pepper shaker, salt dish and mustard pot and spoon. The mustard pot and salt dish have their original blue glass liners. Each of the three large pieces are fully hallmarked for Walker & Hall, Birmingham, 1922. The spoon is hallmarked for Walker & Hall, Sheffield, 1922. The marks are slightly rubbed on some pieces but still clear and readable.

Every piece in the set is in very good condition. There are some minor signs of age and use and there are some faint surface marks and a few light scratches and small dinks but nothing detrimental. The glass liner in the mustard does have a chip on the rim (see photo). They have been lightly cleaned and polished and are ready for use.

The case is excellent quality with a silk lid lining with the 'Walker & Hall' makers stamp and a fitted velvet base. The top of the case has gold intials "M.I.S".The outer of the case is not without some signs of age and knocks and scuffs and slight losses around the edges but overall it displays very well.
