Puckerings has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
Both are hallmarked for the silversmith, Henry Bourne; one is hallmarked for Sheffield 1892 and the other for Sheffield 1896; this is not a mistake being different dates; at the silversmith's there would have been a finished box of napkin rings in each design and they would be picked and packed into the presentation box not necessarily the same date. They are a true Victorian pair.

The box is lined in navy blue velvet and silk; the silk lid is printed in gold with the retailer "Monk Bros. Jewellers, Bolton".
Excellent condition. Each napkin ring measures 1 1/4" with a diameter measuring 1 3/4". They have a combined weight of 2.06 Troy Ounces / 64.2 Grams. The case measures 5 3/8" x 3" x 2 1/2" tall.
