Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1850s.
Please enlarge all the images to see this clearly. Do the same with the base pedestal, which sits on a platform base & carved out feet. There is also beading work all around the bottom edge of the table top & more around the base platform. This has to be one of the nicest examples of this sort of table I have seen. The top can be flipped up so the table can be placed in a corner of the room when not in use. It can also be dismantled. There is a London makers name stamped on the base section R Wright of Bond Street.
