Description

A magnificent small antique Victorian Aesthetic movement ebonised and gilt highlighted Open Armchair, of low proportions, possibly by Gillows & Co. With carved, ebonised and gilt frame with upholstered seat and arms standing on turned front legs culminating in casters. Solid and sturdy it has been recently recovered. Designs of this chair have been attributed to the designer Bruce James Talbert. Dating from circa 1880.

Ebonised wood

Condition Report:

Good condition. Solid and sturdy. Wear and marks commensurate with age. Fairly recently recovered, some small marks and wear to arms.
