Description

A very handsome English Bulldog lighter, made from metal and painted and retaining his two glass eyes.

There is a Patent and makers mark on the underside, I believe an Austrian or German Patent, his collar is also marked with Patent marks, slightly hard to decipher.

This is a most unusual mechanical model, the tail is pushed down and the head tops up which holds the lighter.

The fuel I presume would be placed inside by unscrewing the body, the screw is on the underside. These old lighters are highly collectable and probably determined as unsafe in this day and age; it has not been tested to see if it works.

Excellent condition with wear commensurate with age. Early twentieth century dating to c.1910. 8" in length x 2 7/8" x 3 3/4" tall.
