Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this piece to the 1850s.
The jug with a broad spout fronting the swept octagonal rim, with 'ears' to the rear edges. The rim flowing to the tall n neck, and thence the octagonal facet profile body. The jug mounted with a lion mask, and a 'Hydra' handle. The whole decorated with flowers, and leaves, emerging from jardinières. The underside impressed 'Masons Patent Ironstone China'.
