Description

Exuberantly carved Italian marble top console table and mirror c.1920. A very impressive example of the form standing almost nine feet tall. 35" x 50" mirror with etched detail in a highly carved and pierced limewood frame. Over a serpentine marble top console table with matching base. Delicate carved detail of flowers and scrolling foliate forms in high relief. Original paintwork and gilded highlights. Some old repairs, most obvious at the top of the mirror. Otherwise very good original condition with only minor wear to the paintwork.
