There is a plaque on the frame and it is inscribed on the rear. 'La Table du Poet'.

Henno was a Belguim painter who trained at the Academies of Brussels (1923 - 1926), Etterbeek and Saint-Gilles. He was a pupil of P. Mathieu, G. Combaz, A. Philippot and L. Pringels and was known fro his portraits, compositions, figures, nudes, interiors, landscapes, still lifes and flowers. His work soft, intimate and has a delicate palette. In the pres his work was described as "His painting is music" by P Caso. He organises annually the international exhibition "Arts in Europe" and founded the magazine "The Cahier des Arts" in 1955. Until his death, he was editor-in-chief of "Voix des Artistes" and secretary-general of the "Royal Association of Artists of Belgium". He has works in the Museum of Ixelles.
