A superb Maple & Co Victorian wind-out extending dining table in solid mahogany and with three additional leaves and winding handle. Dating to c.1890 it has a rectangular top with a moulded edge and canted corners and stands on four ring turned legs with brass caps and dark pottery castors. The table smoothly extends from 5ft 2in to just under 10ft by means of a Joseph Fitter winding mechanism allowing it to seat up to 12 people. With beautiful colour and grain to the timbers it has been recently polished and waxed by hand using traditional materials and is ready for immediate use.
