Collinge Antiques has dated this piece to the 1920s.
Designed to stand in a centre of a gallery with an attractive Classical style frieze of laurel swags and ribbons around each side of the cornice. Full width double doors to one of the longer sides with original locks and latches. Fitted inside with later glass shelf and mirror floor (easily removed). Raised and fielded panels to the base with crisp mouldings and tall stepped base. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.

This cabinet is believed to have originally stood in the Lady Lever art gallery and museum in Port Sunlight near Liverpool where it doubtless held some of the remarkable treasures of Lord Leverhulme’s collection of decorative art. Though we have not found any identifying marks similar size cabinets with the exact same Classical frieze can still be found in use at the gallery today.
