Victorian 2.17 Carat Old Cut Diamond Bombé Ring, Circa 1870

Description

A majestic Victorian diamond ring. Set with a blindingly white 1.02 carat old cut diamond in the centre, which floats within a highly detailed silver and diamond surround. The bombé shaped ring is set with twenty (excluding the centre) old mine cut diamonds in finely pierced, vented and grained gallery, conforming to a slim, D-shaped shank.

Accompanied by an independent jewellery report from IGR (#30308541).

Cut – Old cut diamonds.

Colour – The centre diamond is F. The surrounding stones are E to G.

Clarity – The centre is SI3. The surrounding diamonds are VS2 to SI1.

Carat – The centre is a known 1.02 carat with a further approximate 1.15 carat in the surround.

Circa – 1970.

Size – K 1/2 (UK) or 5 3/8 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can be sized up or down.

Measurements – The centre stone is 6 x 6.1mm in diameter. The ring is 13.6mm at the widest point and sits 8.4mm from the finger.

Metal – Silver. Tested. (Alternative white metals, such as platinum or white gold, were not available to Victorian jewellers.)
