A delightful Chinese Imari tankard of large proportions and beautiful colouring.
There is a hairline, see photos and handle was added later, probably in the early 19thc, but still a most decorative and highly attractive early Chinese collectable.
Decorated in underglaze blue, iron-red and gilt with blossoming peonies.
Instead of paying 1000+ grab yourself a fabulous, original piece from the 18th century. Still as beautiful to look at and hold as a perfect example.
This is one of a number of interesting Oriental items I have recently acquired I will be offering over the coming week. Please look out for the others, some really unusual and early examples being offered.
Thank you.
