~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~

A large and stunning original antique French cartel wall clock by Vincenti et Cie. It is Louis XVI in style, classical case with pineapple finials, a large urn and draped with a large acanthus swag. Beautifully made in gilt bronze. The front and sides are fitted with fretted panels with red fabric.

The large 6" dial is porcelain enamel on copper with particularly finely cut and engraved gilt brass hands.

The French movement is of high quality and is by the well known maker Vincenti. It is the large square plated version of the Pendule de Paris movement and is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is a replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. We have a video available of the clock running, lease ask for a link.

Condition of the case is excellent, original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with some wear and discolouartion. The dial is also in excellent condition with no damage. We have replaced the red fabric with fresh.

Vincenti et Cie clockmaker's mark on the movement backplate

Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
