Description

A large showy pair of desk-top scales, a must-have during the Victorian or Edwardian period for the lady or gentleman who enjoyed corresponding.

The base is made from solid Mahogany with a good polished patina, which looks sensational when paired with the professionally polished brass scale and weights.

The left hand pan is engraved with all the "Postal Rates For Letters" which enables us to date this particular set between 1897 to 1915.

Excellent condition with the base measuring 10 1/4" x 6" x 4 3/4" tall.
