A Regency Period Mahogany Antique Chiffonier Possibly by Gillows of Lancaster

Description

A Regency Period mahogany antique chiffonier possibly by Gillows of Lancaster. The upper section has a turned spindle balustrade gallery above a shelf supported by S shaped scrolls, with a further shaped shelf and reeded pilasters. The lower section having a beautifully figured mahogany top above twin panelled mahogany doors, flanked by reeded pilasters with finely carved corbels. With solid mahogany sides and a panelled back the whole supported on turned and fluted bun feet. Although not marked this chiffonier has many trade mark Gillows features. English circa 1820

Dimensions: 42" wide x 18" deep x 57" high

Condition: This chiffonier is in excellent original condition, cleaned and waxed, a wonderful colour and patination

A Regency Period mahogany antique chiffonier possibly by Gillows of Lancaster.
