Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Waterfall Antiques

The best fruit picker''s ladder we''ve seen in years. This fine example, dating from the early part of the 20th century, is of usual form comprising a wide base, tapering with seven diminishing rungs to the top, with an adjustable back support. It could serve in a multitude of different display roles: for hanging ties and scarves; for displaying bags or other fashion accessories; or for the ultimate towel rail in a luxurious bathroom. These ladders are French and they date from around 1900/1910. When they are folded for storage, they measure only 10cms thick.
