A Superb Victorian Silver 'Egg' Scent Bottle

Description

A gorgeous small silver mounted 'egg' scent bottle, from the late Victorian era. This rare and desirable example has a porcelain body hand painted with speckles to resemble an egg and made by James Macintyre - confirmed by the registration mark to the base. The screw top silver lid is sealed with a cork and is hallmarked. A wonderful collector's item, usable today. Dimensions below.
