FB Antiques has dated this piece to the Regency era.
When the leaves are removed they reveal the superb extending mechanism. Prior to the early 1800's there weren't many practical ways to extend a dining table, making the concertina one of the first forms of practical extending dining tables which was later replaced with pullout / pull-out and wind-out mechanisms. The table stands on six elegant writhe turned legs, terminating on original brass castors. The table is in good condition for its age, having only minor wear commensurate with age and use.
