Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Overton Clocks of Chesterfield ltd

A Rare early highly engraved carriage clock with a Helical balance spring escapement and very rare highly carved ebony Anglo-Indian case in perfect condition.
The early numbered movement striking the half hour an hour on a coiled gong having the early type of layered platform used by Bolviller in his Number 2 clock. ( see Carriage clocks page 72 by Allix and Bonnert) The simply compensated balance wheel is regulated via a helical wound hairspring. This type was later developed into the flat fully compensated platforms that are recognisable today.
This clock has been fully overhauled by me personally and comes with a full three years guarantee for your peace of mind.
The highly carved ebony carry case is of Anglo-Indian manufacture and design and is simply exquisite in its form and skill.
