Description
A fabulous quality early 19th Century pollard oak sofa table, having a wonderfully figured top with oval panels with tulip wood stringing and crossbanded in Kingwood, the table having two mahogany lined drawers at the front and faux drawers on the reverse, the shaped column is part ebonised which sits on a concave platform base which has ebony inlays and tulip wood banding, supported on brass paw feet with castors. The colour and choice of veneer is outstanding. Circa 1830.
