Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Edwardian kidney-shaped tables are recognised by their distinctive curved crescent profile, designed to allow a user to sit close to the surface. Produced during the early 20th century, they often feature slender cabriole legs, refined proportions, and high-quality hardwood veneers.

Cabinetmakers during the Edwardian era primarily utilised fine hardwoods such as mahogany, rosewood, and satinwood. Construction techniques featured precise mortise and tenon joinery, moulded edging, and integrated lower tiers for structural stability.

Authentic Edwardian furniture usually displays lighter proportions than heavier Victorian predecessors, featuring subtle hand-carved curves, natural grain patination, and traditional joinery beneath the frame or lower shelves.

An antique kidney table functions effectively as an accent surface beside an armchair, within a window bay, or alongside a sofa. Pairing its curved silhouette with contemporary lighting or understated ceramics creates a balanced interior scheme.

Maintain polished mahogany by dusting regularly with a soft dry cloth and applying a clear beeswax polish along the wood grain once or twice a year. Keep the piece clear of direct heat sources and sunlight to prevent drying or discolouration.
