Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1920s.
It has a platinum case surrounded by diamonds and then more diamonds to the highly decorative platinum shoulders - very much of the Art Deco era in design.
The case body and back is of 14ct rose gold which gives a wonderful contrast to the platinum and diamonds. It also has rose gold hands and baton markers on the dial which is in mint condition having been fully restored.
The original 1920s movement was unfortunately beyond repair so we have replaced it with a top quality mid 1960s movement which has been serviced and overhauled.
It is attached to a solid 9ct white gold mesh bracelet which goes over your hand and can then be adjusted to fit your wrist. It will fit a wrist size of up to 6.5 inches.
The watch head itself measures 20mm in diameter excluding the winding crown.
As you would expect from Longines the diamonds are bright, crisp and evenly matched, the sparkle they generate is just stunning. The four large diamonds are 0.25ct each and in total the watch has approximately 2.5cts.
A new glass has been fitted and it has been cleaned and polished so it is absolutely beautiful.
As you would expect from Longines the watch is fully marked on the dial and movement.

This watch has been fully and professionally overhauled, the process is highly detailed and meticulous.
The watch is stripped down to its component parts and each part is examined under a microscope for signs of wear, any worn parts are replaced with genuine manufacturers original parts. every part is then thoroughly cleaned in a 3 stage ultrasonic cleaning process.
The movement is then fully assembled using manufacturer approved oils and lubricants and is carried out in a clean room environment. The watch movement is then checked and adjusted for accurate time keeping. The cases are polished and the watch sealed.
Obviously this is not a cheap or quick process which is why our watches are sometimes a little more expensive than others but you can be assured our watches will give reliable and dependable service and will not require any further attention for many years.
