Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1880s.
The dogs head is pressed down to release the roof of the kennel allowing access to the two hand blown glass perfume bottles inside.
The interior is totally untouched and original with its pale pink silk lining. The bottles are pristine and never used, there is even a sliver of paper around the stoppers from the day they were made.
The kennel is made from beautifully rich burl Amboyna wood with it's beautiful colour with a wonderful shiny patina.
A wonderful canine collectible in excellent condition with minimal wear to base, measuring 8 3/8"x 3 3/4" x 3 1/2" tall. Each bottle measures 1 5/8" x 1 1/4" x 2 1/4" tall.
