Description

Unusual pair of narrow French marble top chests of drawers c.1920. Just 18" wide. Original red marble top with shaped and moulded edges over six small oak lined drawers. Ideal for filing or accessories, big enough for A4 paper. Symmetrically arranged contrasting kingwood and rosewood veneers with floral marquetry inlaid drawer fronts with gilded escutcheons. Canted front edges, shaped apron and feet. Quality ormoulu mounts to the apron and feet – of slightly different design on the two pierces. With repairs to the right hand side of one of the cabinets. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops. Keys supplied for both.
