In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the 1900s.
The doors opens up to reveal a series of racks for holding papers and letters. There is also a pen tray and glass inkwell. Below this there is a large drawer with small wooden knob, held in place by a metal pin.
There have been some small repairs and there are a few small knocks and marks around the outside, general signs of age and light use and a small chip on the back corner but nothing detrimental. The inkwell is probably not original but is very good quality and fits nicely. The cabinet does not come with a key.
