Early 18th century oak side-table; the overhanging top mounted on a frame with a single drawer with a bold fielded and moulded panel front; on baluster-turned legs with moulded stretchers. There is shrinkage between the two planks at the top and shrinkage in the rear plank, commensurate with age. Circa 1710.
Provenance: Collection of Samuel Wolsey who was an antique dealer of international repute and former President of the BADA; he specialised in early furniture.

We deal in 18th and early 19th century furniture, barometers and clocks. We choose our stock for its originality and for the quality of its colour, patination and design.
We are members of the BADA. We do not exhibit at fairs preferring to deal from our Cambridge shop where we hold an Open Weekend every November.
