Description

A lovely Victorian mahogany washstand table dating from the mid to late 19th Century. Standing on elegant tapering turned legs with a raised gallery and a shaped lower shelf. A very versatile table - perfect as a dressing table or excellent as a hall table with room for plenty of shoes tucked underneath.

It is in good original condition and is strong and sturdy. It has been well used and has developed a charming rich patina with some dark stains and surface marks on the top but nothing detrimental. There is a small old split which does not affect the table aesthetically or structurally. It displays beautifully and has been cleaned and gently polished to retain its patina and is ready for use.
