English Circa 1860.
Of early Georgian design having a pierced back and solid shaped splat popularised by the likes of Giles Grendy in the George II era whilst unusually having a slightly early style cabriole leg termination on a hoof foot more reminiscent of the Queen Anne period.
Retaining its original needlepoint drop in squab seat enclosed by a moulded rail with raised carvings above each cabriole front legs terminating on a hoof foot.

Of excellent colour and design this is one of best quality chairs of it’s age, constructed in an 18th century manner with good quality timber used.
