Christian Davies Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
The front is of slightly inverted form and has an arrangement of nine mahogany lined drawers with ebonised mouldings which retain their original aesthetic style brass handles and escutcheons. The drawer fronts again veneered in beautifully figured burr walnut which is also repeated on the sides, the internal sides and the ends. Supported on a burr walnut veneered shaped plinth and concealed castors. English circa 1875
